Description
A crispy, gluten-free chicken sandwich made with almond flour and cooked in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 whole-grain or gluten-free buns
- Lettuce and tomato for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix almond flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Beat the egg in a separate bowl.
- Dip each chicken breast in the egg, then coat with the almond flour mixture.
- Place the coated chicken in the air fryer basket and drizzle with olive oil.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Toast the buns lightly if desired.
- Assemble the sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and cooked chicken.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray the chicken lightly with cooking oil before air frying.
- Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of your chicken breasts.
