Description
Crispy asparagus fries made in an air fryer for a healthier snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus (about 1 lb)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- Trim the tough ends off the asparagus.
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs and water.
- Dip each asparagus spear in the egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumb mix.
- Place asparagus in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook at 375°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
- For gluten-free, substitute almond flour.
- Best eaten fresh.
