Description

Crispy and savory Chinese chive pancakes made easily in an air fryer. Perfect as a snack or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped Chinese chives (or scallions)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil


Instructions

  1. Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Gradually add boiling water while stirring until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each into a thin circle.
  4. Brush with vegetable oil and sprinkle chopped chives evenly.
  5. Roll the dough tightly into a log, then coil it into a spiral. Flatten with a rolling pin.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly brush both sides of the pancake with sesame oil.
  7. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
