Description
Crispy and savory Chinese chive pancakes made easily in an air fryer. Perfect as a snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped Chinese chives (or scallions)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Gradually add boiling water while stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and rest for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each into a thin circle.
- Brush with vegetable oil and sprinkle chopped chives evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, then coil it into a spiral. Flatten with a rolling pin.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly brush both sides of the pancake with sesame oil.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
Notes
- Use fresh Chinese chives for the best flavor.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the air fryer.
