Description
Crispy, cinnamon-sugar coated churro bites made easily in your air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat water, sugar, salt, and oil until boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until smooth.
- Let cool slightly, then mix in the egg.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe 2-inch strips onto parchment paper, then freeze for 10 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray churro bites with cooking oil.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Toss warm churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Notes
- Use a sturdy piping bag to avoid bursting.
- Freezing the dough helps hold its shape.
- Serve immediately for best texture.
