Description
Crispy, golden churros coated in cinnamon sugar, made easily in your air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Boil water, 2 tbsp sugar, salt, and oil in a saucepan.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
- Beat in the egg until smooth.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe 4-inch strips onto parchment paper, then freeze for 10 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray churros with cooking spray and air fry for 8-10 minutes until golden.
- Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Roll warm churros in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use a sturdy piping bag to prevent bursting.
- Freezing the dough helps it hold its shape.
- For extra crispiness, spray churros lightly with oil before air frying.
