Description
A quick and creamy grilled cheese sandwich made with avocado in an air fryer for a crispy, melty texture.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 1/2 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp butter, softened
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread mashed avocado on one slice of bread.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the avocado.
- Top with the second slice of bread.
- Butter the outside of both slices lightly.
- Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Remove, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use sourdough or whole wheat bread for extra flavor.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
- Swap cheddar for mozzarella or pepper jack if preferred.
