Description
A hearty and creamy layered casserole inspired by John Wayne, made easily in an air fryer for a quick and delicious meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 oz egg noodles, cooked
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, then drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Layer half the cooked egg noodles in the air fryer basket.
- Spread half the meat mixture over the noodles, then sprinkle with half the cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining noodles, meat mixture, and cheese.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Use ground turkey for a lighter option.
- Add a sprinkle of paprika for extra flavor.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
