Description
Crispy and flavorful spinach pakoras made easily in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp water (or as needed)
- 1 tbsp oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix chickpea flour, chopped spinach, onion, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, garam masala, and salt.
- Add water gradually to form a thick batter.
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes.
- Grease the air fryer basket lightly with oil.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
Notes
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- For extra crispiness, spray oil lightly before air frying.
