Description

Crispy and flavorful spinach pakoras made easily in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp water (or as needed)
  • 1 tbsp oil


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix chickpea flour, chopped spinach, onion, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, garam masala, and salt.
  2. Add water gradually to form a thick batter.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes.
  4. Grease the air fryer basket lightly with oil.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
  6. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.

Notes

  • Adjust spices to your taste.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
  • For extra crispiness, spray oil lightly before air frying.
