Description
Crispy and flavorful falafel bite balls made easily in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Drain soaked chickpeas and pat dry.
- Add chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, and cilantro to a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped.
- Transfer mixture to a bowl. Add cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, flour, and baking powder. Mix well.
- Form mixture into small balls.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush falafel balls with olive oil.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden brown.
Notes
- Do not use canned chickpeas.
- Soak chickpeas for at least 12 hours.
- Serve with tahini sauce or hummus.
