Description

Crispy and flavorful falafel bite balls made easily in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Drain soaked chickpeas and pat dry.
  2. Add chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, and cilantro to a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped.
  3. Transfer mixture to a bowl. Add cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, flour, and baking powder. Mix well.
  4. Form mixture into small balls.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Brush falafel balls with olive oil.
  7. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden brown.

Notes

  • Do not use canned chickpeas.
  • Soak chickpeas for at least 12 hours.
  • Serve with tahini sauce or hummus.
