Description

Crispy air fryer fish nuggets made with tilapia or cod. A quick and healthy alternative to deep-fried fish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb tilapia or cod fillets, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  2. Mix flour with salt, black pepper, and cayenne in a shallow bowl.
  3. Beat eggs in a second bowl.
  4. Combine panko, paprika, and garlic powder in a third bowl.
  5. Dredge each fish piece in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with panko mixture.
  6. Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with oil.
  7. Place fish nuggets in a single layer in the basket.
  8. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  9. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
