Description
A creamy and indulgent five-cheese mac & cheese made easily in your air fryer.
Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup gouda cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, cubed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions, then drain.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour to make a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk and heavy cream until smooth.
- Add cheddar, mozzarella, gouda, parmesan, and cream cheese. Stir until melted.
- Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni.
- Transfer mixture to an air fryer-safe dish.
- Air fry at 350°F for 10-12 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use room-temperature cheeses for smoother melting.
- For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes after air frying.
- Stir the mac & cheese halfway through cooking for even browning.
