Description
A quick and easy salad featuring crispy air-fried halloumi cheese, fresh greens, and a light dressing.
Ingredients
- 200g halloumi cheese, sliced
- 4 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
- Toss halloumi slices with 1 tbsp olive oil and oregano.
- Air fry halloumi for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
- In a bowl, combine salad greens, cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion.
- Whisk remaining olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper for the dressing.
- Toss salad with dressing and top with crispy halloumi.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Pat halloumi dry before air frying for a crispier texture.
- Add avocado or nuts for extra crunch.
- Serve with warm pita bread if desired.
