Description

Make crispy and sticky Asian pork ribs at home using an air fryer. This recipe delivers tender meat with a flavorful glaze in less time than traditional methods.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork ribs, cut into individual pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes to make the marinade.
  2. Coat the pork ribs evenly with the marinade and let them sit for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for better flavor).
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Arrange the ribs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
  5. Cook for 15 minutes, then flip the ribs and cook for another 10-12 minutes until crispy and caramelized.
  6. Brush with extra glaze halfway through cooking if desired.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For extra tenderness, marinate the ribs overnight.
  • Adjust cooking time based on rib thickness.
  • Use foil or parchment paper for easier cleanup.
  • Check for doneness with a meat thermometer (internal temp should be 145°F/63°C).
