Description
A quick and tasty Mediterranean chicken pita pocket recipe made easy with an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 whole wheat pita pockets
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced cucumbers
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tbsp tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix chicken cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway.
- Warm the pita pockets in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.
- Fill each pita pocket with cooked chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, and tzatziki sauce.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute Greek yogurt for tzatziki sauce.
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Use gluten-free pitas if needed.
