Description
Crispy, tangy orange chicken made easily in your air fryer. A healthier version of the takeout favorite.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp chopped green onions
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic to make the marinade.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade and let sit for 15 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Drain chicken from marinade and toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken in air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway.
- While chicken cooks, simmer remaining marinade in a saucepan until thickened.
- Toss cooked chicken with sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
- Cut chicken into even pieces for uniform cooking.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Save some sauce for dipping if desired.
