Description
Crispy and flavorful chicken sticks brined in pickle juice for extra tanginess, cooked in an air fryer for a healthier twist.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1 cup dill pickle juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Marinate chicken tenders in pickle juice for at least 1 hour.
- In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk egg and water.
- Dip each chicken tender in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finally the panko breadcrumbs.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place chicken sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray with cooking oil.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray the breaded chicken lightly with cooking oil before air frying.
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
