Description
A rich and comforting soup inspired by cheeseburger flavors, featuring bacon, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese, made easy in the air fryer.
Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp flour (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F.
- Cook bacon in the air fryer basket for 5 minutes until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Add ground beef to the air fryer and cook for 8 minutes, breaking it apart.
- Add mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and Swiss cheese. Cook for 5 more minutes until melted.
- If needed, mix flour with a little water and stir in to thicken.
- Top with reserved bacon before serving.
Notes
- Swap Swiss cheese for cheddar if preferred.
- For a thicker soup, add more flour.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
