Description
A quick and easy air fryer version of the classic Italian sub, perfect for Thanksgiving gatherings or any time you crave a hearty sandwich.
Ingredients
- 1 large Italian sub roll
- 4 slices of salami
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced red onions
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
- Slice the Italian sub roll in half lengthwise, leaving one edge intact.
- Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the inside of the roll.
- Layer salami, ham, and provolone cheese evenly on one side of the roll.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced red onions.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning and drizzle olive oil over the fillings.
- Close the roll and wrap it loosely in aluminum foil.
- Place the wrapped sub in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes.
- Unwrap and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to crisp the bread.
- Remove from the air fryer, slice, and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can add pepperoni or turkey for extra flavor.
- Adjust cook time based on your air fryer model.
- For a vegetarian option, replace meats with grilled vegetables.
