Description
A rich and flavorful garlic soup with a French twist, perfect for Thanksgiving and made easily in your air fryer.
Ingredients
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 baguette, sliced
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, toss garlic and onion with olive oil.
- Air fry the garlic and onion for 5 minutes, stirring halfway.
- Transfer to a pot, add broth, thyme, and bay leaf. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove the bay leaf, stir in cream, and season with salt and pepper.
- Toast baguette slices in the air fryer for 3 minutes.
- Ladle soup into bowls, top with toasted bread and Gruyère cheese.
- Air fry for 2 more minutes to melt the cheese.
- Serve hot.

- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
- Adjust cream for a lighter or richer texture.
- Gruyère can be substituted with Swiss cheese.
