Description

Crispy vegan mac-and-cheese sticks made in an air fryer. A quick and easy snack with a creamy dairy-free cheese center.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup vegan cheddar cheese shreds
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Mix cooked macaroni, vegan cheese, almond milk, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Spread the mixture in a lined dish and refrigerate for 1 hour to firm up.
  3. Cut into stick shapes.
  4. Roll each stick in breadcrumbs and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Place sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Air fry at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve warm.

  • Chilling the mixture makes it easier to shape.
