Description
Crispy, golden vegan mozzarella sticks made in an air fryer. A delicious plant-based snack that’s easy to prepare and perfect for dipping.
Ingredients
- 1 cup vegan mozzarella shreds
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup plant-based milk
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- Mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
- Dip vegan mozzarella shreds in the slurry, then coat with flour.
- Dip in plant-based milk, then coat with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
- Freeze coated sticks for 15 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with marinara sauce.
Notes
- Freezing helps the sticks hold their shape.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Check sticks halfway through cooking to prevent burning.
