Description
Cherry sweet rolls are soft, fluffy pastries filled with sweet cherry jam and topped with a light glaze. Perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup cherry jam
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Knead into a soft dough.
- Let the dough rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread cherry jam evenly.
- Roll tightly and cut into 12 slices.
- Place in a baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for the glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls.
