A festive and easy-to-make Christmas casserole with tender chicken, wild rice, and savory flavors, cooked in an air fryer for a crispy finish.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked wild rice
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onions and garlic until soft.
- Add diced chicken, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until chicken is browned.
- Mix in cooked wild rice, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Stir well.
- Transfer the mixture to an air fryer-safe dish and top with cheddar cheese.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes until the top is golden and crispy.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
