A quick and flavorful twist on the classic green bean casserole, made in the air fryer with crispy beef bacon for a smoky, savory upgrade.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 6 slices beef bacon, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup crispy fried onions
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook beef bacon in the air fryer for 5 minutes until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Toss green beans with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Air fry for 8 minutes.
- Mix sour cream, cheddar cheese, and diced onions in a bowl.
- Layer green beans, cheese mixture, and beef bacon in an air fryer-safe dish.
- Top with crispy fried onions and air fry for another 3 minutes until cheese melts.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Swap beef bacon for turkey bacon if preferred.
- Use frozen green beans if fresh aren’t available—no need to thaw.
- For extra crunch, add more fried onions after cooking.
