Description

A quick and flavorful twist on the classic green bean casserole, made in the air fryer with crispy beef bacon for a smoky, savory upgrade.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 6 slices beef bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup crispy fried onions
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook beef bacon in the air fryer for 5 minutes until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. Toss green beans with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Air fry for 8 minutes.
  4. Mix sour cream, cheddar cheese, and diced onions in a bowl.
  5. Layer green beans, cheese mixture, and beef bacon in an air fryer-safe dish.
  6. Top with crispy fried onions and air fry for another 3 minutes until cheese melts.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Swap beef bacon for turkey bacon if preferred.
  • Use frozen green beans if fresh aren’t available—no need to thaw.
  • For extra crunch, add more fried onions after cooking.
