Description
Crispy, golden air fryer corn dogs made with minimal oil. A quick and easy snack or meal.
Ingredients
- 8 corn dog sticks
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 8 hot dogs
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 370°F (190°C).
- Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Whisk egg and milk in another bowl.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients to make batter.
- Insert sticks into hot dogs.
- Coat each hot dog with batter.
- Lightly spray air fryer basket with oil.
- Place corn dogs in air fryer, leaving space between them.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use wooden or bamboo sticks for corn dogs.
- Shake off excess batter before cooking.
- Check doneness by inserting a toothpick—it should come out clean.
