Description
Crispy mozzarella sticks made in an air fryer for a healthier twist on a classic snack.
Ingredients
- 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Cut each mozzarella stick in half.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
- Coat each mozzarella stick in flour, then dip in egg, and finally roll in breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.
- Lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Air fry at 400°F for 4-5 minutes, until golden and crispy.
- Let cool for 1-2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Freeze the mozzarella sticks for 30 minutes before coating to prevent melting.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
- For extra crispiness, double-coat by repeating the egg and breadcrumb steps.
