Crispy and flavorful thick-cut steak fries made in an air fryer for a healthier twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients
- 2 large russet potatoes (about 1 lb)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thick steak fry strips.
- Soak the potato strips in cold water for 10 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
- Toss the potatoes with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
- Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

- For extra crispiness, spray the fries lightly with cooking oil before air frying.
