Description
Crispy homemade pretzel sticks made easily in your air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 4 cups warm water
- 1 egg, beaten
- Coarse salt for topping
Instructions
- Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and melted butter. Knead into a smooth dough.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
- Divide dough into small pieces and roll into thin sticks.
- Mix baking soda and warm water. Dip each stick into the solution.
- Place sticks in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle coarse salt.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Let dough rise in a warm place.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Serve with mustard or cheese dip.
