Ingredients

  • 12 large sea scallops
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Season scallops with salt and pepper.
  4. Sear scallops for 2 minutes per side until golden.
  5. Remove scallops from the pan and set aside.
  6. Melt butter in the same skillet.
  7. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  8. Return scallops to the pan and coat in garlic butter.
  9. Sprinkle with lemon juice and parsley.
  10. Serve immediately.
