Description
A hearty beef stew soup bowl packed with tender beef, vegetables, and rich flavors.
Ingredients
- 500g beef stew meat, cubed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Brown the beef cubes on all sides, then remove from the pot.
- Sauté onions and garlic until soft.
- Add carrots and potatoes, cook for 3 minutes.
- Return the beef to the pot.
- Pour in beef broth and water.
- Add salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaf.
- Simmer for 1.5 hours until beef is tender.
- Remove bay leaf before serving.
Notes
- Cut beef into even pieces for uniform cooking.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
