Description
Juicy and flavorful BBQ drumsticks made in the air fryer with a Texas-style dry rub.
Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Texas-style BBQ dry rub
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix the dry rub, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne.
- Coat the drumsticks with olive oil.
- Generously rub the spice mix onto the drumsticks.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place drumsticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 22-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, air fry an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Adjust cayenne pepper for desired heat level.
- Serve with your favorite BBQ sauce for dipping.
