Description

Juicy and flavorful BBQ drumsticks made in the air fryer with a Texas-style dry rub.


Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Texas-style BBQ dry rub
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)


Instructions

  1. Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix the dry rub, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne.
  3. Coat the drumsticks with olive oil.
  4. Generously rub the spice mix onto the drumsticks.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Place drumsticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Cook for 22-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, air fry an additional 2-3 minutes.
