Description
A quick and easy honey chilli chicken recipe with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors. Ideal for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 capsicum, sliced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with ginger paste, garlic paste, black pepper, salt, and cornflour. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté onions and capsicum for 2 minutes.
- Add honey, chilli sauce, soy sauce, and vinegar. Mix well.
- Add the fried chicken and toss to coat evenly.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of chilli sauce based on your spice preference.
- For extra crispiness, double-fry the chicken.
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
