Description
A quick and easy twist on the classic grilled cheese, combining the flavors of a Margherita pizza with the convenience of an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2-3 slices of fresh tomato
- 1 tbsp basil pesto
- 1 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Spread basil pesto on one side of each bread slice.
- Layer mozzarella cheese and tomato slices on one slice of bread.
- Top with the second bread slice, pesto side down.
- Brush the outside of the sandwich lightly with olive oil.
- Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from air fryer, let cool for 1 minute, then slice and serve.
Notes
- Use fresh mozzarella for best results.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
- Add a sprinkle of dried oregano for extra flavor.
