Description
Quick and easy pigs in a blanket, perfect for holiday gatherings. These bite-sized snacks are made with mini sausages wrapped in flaky crescent dough.
Ingredients
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough
- 24 mini sausages or cocktail wieners
- 1 egg (optional, for brushing)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles.
- Place a mini sausage at the wide end of each dough triangle and roll it up.
- Arrange the wrapped sausages on the baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg (optional) and sprinkle with seeds (optional).
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use pre-cooked sausages for safety.
- For extra flavor, add mustard or cheese inside the dough before rolling.
- These can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
