Description
Crispy chicken wings with a sweet and tangy teriyaki-pineapple glaze, cooked in an air fryer for a healthier twist.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken wings
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Pat dry chicken wings with a paper towel.
- In a bowl, mix teriyaki sauce, pineapple juice, honey, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
- Place wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 12 minutes, flip, then cook for another 12 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl.
- Pour the teriyaki-pineapple mixture into a saucepan and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Add cornstarch slurry and stir until thickened.
- Toss cooked wings in the glaze.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
Notes
- For crispier wings, pat them dry thoroughly before cooking.
- Adjust honey for more or less sweetness.
- Double the glaze if you prefer saucier wings.
