Description
Crispy vegan mozzarella sticks made in an air fryer. A delicious and healthier alternative to traditional cheese sticks.
Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded vegan mozzarella
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup plant-based milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Pour plant-based milk into another bowl.
- Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
- Shape vegan mozzarella into sticks.
- Dip each stick into the flour mixture, then the milk, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray or brush sticks with olive oil.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
- Use firm vegan cheese for best results.
- Chill shaped sticks for 30 minutes before breading for easier handling.
- Flip sticks halfway through cooking.
