Description

Crispy vegan mozzarella sticks made in an air fryer. A delicious and healthier alternative to traditional cheese sticks.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded vegan mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup plant-based milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Pour plant-based milk into another bowl.
  3. Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  4. Shape vegan mozzarella into sticks.
  5. Dip each stick into the flour mixture, then the milk, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Lightly spray or brush sticks with olive oil.
  8. Air fry for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with marinara sauce.

Notes

  • Use firm vegan cheese for best results.
  • Chill shaped sticks for 30 minutes before breading for easier handling.
  • Flip sticks halfway through cooking.
