Description
A quick and easy version of the classic Chicken Cordon Bleu made in the air fryer for a crispy, juicy result.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 slices ham
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
- Cut each chicken breast in half horizontally to make 4 thin pieces.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken piece.
- Roll the chicken tightly and secure with toothpicks.
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Dip each chicken roll in the beaten egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the chicken rolls in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
- Let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use toothpicks to secure the rolls tightly.
- Check the internal temperature of the chicken (165°F).
- Let the chicken rest before slicing.
